Pelican Resting

This design was created by Dave and inspired by his Dad who is a wood carver.  We were visiting and Dave found his wood carving library, as he was browsing through some magazines he saw a carved image of a pelican on top a pole and thought it would be fun to do his own in  stained glass.  We are certainly big fans of Pelicans and our collection of them is increasing  in glass.  They are a part of everyday life on the coast and have a calming effect, when watching them fly, dive and rest.
