This beetle design is one in a collection of 16 various types of bugs. Dave did the beetle collection after we had lost several of our hives to poison that was placed in both of our island parks.
We try to educate folks on not only the importance of the honeybees and native bees, but ALL bugs. Bugs are the greatest at decomposing organic material and turning it into dirt. It is easy to think they are a nuisance, but so very important to remember without bugs, there is no dirt. Without dirt, there is no way to grow flowers, fruits, vegetables and trees in a sustainable way. We need the bugs to provide healthy, nutrient rich soil for growing. His collection brings a fun, colorful ,aspect to those creepy critters! Save the Bugs Y'all.
