Several years ago, we had a lot fewer houses and many more trees in our neighborhood, it was truly a mini Maritime forest. Many spring and summer nights were filled with the hooting of an owl, that always seemed just out of our sight. One early evening we heard the owl and went into the forest to track it down while there was still light to see it. We knew it was close and what a delight when we looked up and saw the incredible Horned Owl on a branch near the top of an old Live Oak tree. There it was staring down at us as we awed and marveled at how large and loud it was! This Owl was the inspiration needed to create our first baby Owl , and it has been a popular design since. This original design is whimsical and comes in a rainbow of color variations.
